Thursday, May 16th, 2013

This set of typography work by graphic designer Ruslan Khasanov from Russia exhibits the results of various experiments with colored or clear liquids on a variety of surfaces. I particularly love the pixel distortion works on the computer monitor, and how the RGB colored stripes from the screen are magnified and distorted by the liquid texture. Very cool experimentation.

Graphic Artist, Leandro Senna stepped out of his normal element of designing with the computer, and took a more hands on approach with this project “Bob Dylan’s Hand Lettering Experience” in which he uses unique pen and pencil typography to illustrate Bob Dylan’s lyrics.

About the project, Senna writes:

There are 66 cards done in one month during my spare time using only pencil, black tint pens and brushes. The challenge was not to use the computer, no retouching was allowed. Getting a letter wrong meant starting the page over.
